In response to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 emergency, EIF and Defy:Disaster established the COVID-19 Response Fund.
Funds raised primarily provided relief to people in the entertainment industry who were most vulnerable to the effects of this economic crisis. Additional funds supported the public health response to the threat posed by the virus, including the prevention, detection, and treatment of new cases of COVID-19.
EIF and Defy:Disaster also partnered with health organizations, including the CDC Foundation to provide vital information to help people keep themselves and their families healthy.
