Multiple fast-moving wildfires, including the Camp, Hill, and Woolsey fires, forced tens of thousands of people from their homes and destroyed thousands of houses and other structures throughout California.

The Camp Fire in Butte County burned more than 153,000 acres and destroyed more than 18,000 structures. Families in at least 75,000 homes were ordered to evacuate, and at least 88 people perished, making it the most destructive and deadliest fire in California history.

Thanks to generous support from our Unity Partners and the community, we raised more than $2 million for recovery efforts.

EIF’s Fire Relief Fund was the proud beneficiary of Stevie Wonder’s 22nd Annual House Full Of Toys Benefit Concert featuring the STEVIE WONDER SONG PARTY: A Celebration of Life, Love & Music at STAPLES Center on December 9, 2018.

“Along with the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), our goal is to raise money in support of all those who suffered loss to the catastrophic fires, to support the amazing firefighters who worked so hard to save lives and homes, and to support the first responders who are always there when we need them.”

Howie Mandel & Jeff Dunham performed a special night of stand-up comedy to help those affected by the Borderline shooting and Woolsey Fire via the EIF Fund.

EIF was also honored to be the beneficiary of the Woolsey Fire Benefit Concert featuring Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real, Margo Price, Butch Walker, Madisen Ward and new artist Desure who all performed in support of first responders and low-income families affected by the fire.

We are incredibly grateful to Ellen DeGeneres who recorded a public service announcement to support the brave firefighters protecting our neighborhoods.
